Who I am and what I believe

An Experienced Professional
I began my career in financial services with the Principal Financial Group in 1989, serving as an advisor and Regional Managing Director, with clients in Greensboro, North Carolina and Washington, DC. In early 2018 I joined Pensionmark, a national retirement plan and wealth management firm headquartered in Santa Barbara, California. In 2022, Pensionmark was acquired by World Investment Advisors, LLC (WIA).

Currently as a Managing Director at WIA I continue to enjoy working with a national organization that grants me access to deep industry insights and expertise across a wide swath of finance and planning related topics. This benefits my clients by expanding their access to resources with significant areas of expertise as needed.

 With Meaningful Certifications
To be a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) lets you know that I am a fiduciary advisor, meaning I am accountable and bound to always act in my clients’ best interests. Additionally, I maintain an active membership in the Financial Planning Association®, the leading trade organization for financial planning professionals.

Of all my professional education credentials, I have most enjoyed earning the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL TRANSITIONIST® (CeFT®). I was clear to me that I had already been engaging with clients as a life-centered financial planner. We had deep, meaningful conversations triggered by both planned and unplanned changes in their health, location, obligations to extended family, or desired legacy.

I’ve been quoted many times as saying, “when life changes, money changes – and when money changes, life changes.” My purpose is to help ensure that you are confident that your financial plan will work the way you want it to when you experience either anticipated or surprise transitions.

 Operating In A Client-Centered Model

“Probably my best quality as a coach is that I ask a lot of challenging questions
and let the person come up with the answer." - Phil Dixon

All my energy, recommendations, and solutions will be focused on your wants, your needs, and your satisfaction. My reasons for becoming a CFP® professional are deeply personal: I have witnessed many friends and family struggle to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. They’ve been sold products and limiting beliefs about what’s possible or what information or solutions they are even “allowed” to consider. I am product and solution agnostic. I have no personal agenda to sell you on the “right” or “only” solution or products; I will never copy and paste blindly from one plan to another. My ambition is to be of service to you – for the life YOU want to live!
